Porterville College is making the path to enrollment simpler than ever with our "Pirate in a Day" workshop, designed to fast-track your registration process.

 

Navigating college applications, financial aid forms, and course selections can often feel like a multi-day journey. To eliminate the stress of jumping between different departments, Porterville College is bringing all the vital resources, technology, and staff together under one roof. Whether you are a brand-new student trying to submit your very first application or a returning student locking down your final classes, this event is built to serve your needs efficiently.

Instead of waiting weeks for consecutive appointments, attendees can expect comprehensive, hands-on guidance to complete multiple enrollment steps in a single visit.
On-site support includes:

  • CCCApply Assistance: Get direct help navigating the California Community Colleges application portal to officially establish or reactivate your student account.
  • One-on-One Counseling: Sit down with a professional academic counselor or advisor to map out your educational goals and learn about your Academic and Career Pathways.
  • Financial Aid Support: Receive step-by-step guidance on filling out your financial aid forms to ensure you maximize your grant and scholarship opportunities.
  • Immediate Class Registration: Browse available Summer and Fall classes with support staff standing by to help you add sections and finalize your schedule right on the spot.
How to Prepare

To make the most of your time at Pirate in a Day, please bring a valid photo ID, your high school or previous college transcripts (unofficial copies are completely fine), and tax information if you plan to complete financial aid applications. Walk-ins are welcome throughout the day between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
